Jules Kounde has been officially announced as Barcelona’s sixth signing of the season.
After a protracted transfer saga involving Chelsea, the Blaugrana now have their French center-back.
At one stage, it appeared like the France international might be heading to west London, with the Blues having agreed to a deal with Sevilla.
However, Barcelona snatched one of Thomas Tuchel’s targets at the last minute, and Kounde will now play for the five-time European champions.

The 25-year-old Frenchman joins the Catalan giants from the Andalusian side for a rumoured sum of €50 million, which may increase to €60 million with add-ons.
Following the earlier additions of Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski in this window, Kounde has finally secured his dream move, with Xavi Hernandez strengthening at the back.
