Kanye West has made yet another weird comment. The rapper, who has been in the spotlight for a long time for his inflammatory words against ‘Black Lives Matter,’ has now downplayed the incident that sparked the public movement two years ago.
In a recent interview, Kanye said that George Floyd’s death was really caused by the use of fentanyl rather than being choked to death by a police officer’s knee.
The rapper spent some time during the interview repeating what he gleaned from the George Floyd documentary made by Candace Owens.
He stated during an interview with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN on their podcast Drink Champs, “I saw the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out.” One of his two roommates stated they wanted a big person like me, and on the day he died, he did an eight-minute prayer.”
“They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”

Floyd died in 2020 following a 9-minute kneel on his neck by Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin. A witness videotaped the event, which quickly went viral, causing outrage and public protests.
According to report, Floyd died from a lack of oxygen induced by the knee on his neck, which a coroner’s report confirmed as murder.
