The aviation committee of the House of Representatives has criticized the procedure that led to the launch of Nigeria Air.
Nnaji Nnolim, the committee’s chairman, said that the unveiling of Nigeria Air was a fraud during a hearing for an investigation on Tuesday with officials of the ministry of aviation and airline operators of Nigeria (AON).
Recall that, Hadi Sirika, former minister of aviation, On May 26, unveiled Nigeria Air, three days before the end of the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The committee also approved a motion requesting that Nigeria Air’s activities be halted by the federal government, and called for the prosecution of those involved in the previous administration’s announcement of the national carrier.
