Christ Embassy Youth Church in Aba burnt down by protesters

The vandalization of police stations and government properties by violent protesters in Aba continues on Wednesday 21st October, which led to the burning down of a Christ Embassy church in Aba South local government headquarters.

The hoodlums reportedly struck at midday at the Aba town hall premises, destroying and setting all the buildings on fire including one of the buildings known as Ecumenical chapel erected by former Governor T.A orji.

The Ecumenical chapel which was occupied by Christ Embassy Youth Church was reportedly razed down and all the facilities stolen. Eye witnesses recall seeing some of the thugs making away with musical instruments and other equipments belonging to the church.

Aba town hall is just one of the buildings set ablaze by the protesters. Reports indicates that some banks such as Ecobank, GtBank were also razed down and Automated Teller Machines (ATM) vandalized.
