Enugu EFCC Apprehend 23 Alleged Online Fraudsters

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reported on Wednesday that no fewer than 23 alleged internet fraudsters had been detained in Enugu.

The suspects were arrested by the commission’s Enugu Zonal Command along the Monark, Emene, and Golf axis after actionable intelligence.

The suspects have been identified as Ugwuanyi Innocent Kasiemobi, Emmanuel Chukwu Agwu, Onyeama Christian Arinze, Hycienth Nnabuike Emmanuel, Chibueze Augustine Oluebube, Ogaraku Chidiebube Obinna, Chibueze Stanley Onyedikachi, Austus Jeffrey Chiemerem, Ikechi David Faithful, and Okafor Collins Chika.

Others include Justice Anyaegbunam Mba, Onuoha Miracle Oluebubu, Udo Ugochukwu Stanley, Igbo Christian Ikenna, Nweke Kingsley David, Obinna Stanley Obumneme, Okocha Elisha Ewah, Nweke Cosmas Chidera, David Kingsley Nweke, Eze Henry Chiwetalu, Nweke Edwin Chidubem, and Joshua Chimaobi.

Six exotic cars were among the items found: a black Mercedes Benz, a Lexus ES350, a Toyota Camry, a Toyota Avalon, and a Mercedes Benz CLE.

Together with these items, 43 mobile phones, 11 laptops, and charms were also found.

The suspects have provided useful statements and will be charged in court once the investigation is completed.
