Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘ready to stay at Manchester United After Casemiro Arrival

Cristiano Ronaldo is thought to have decided on his future at Manchester United after his former Real Madrid teammate Casemiro joined the English club.

The 37-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this transfer season, with Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon being touted as possible destinations for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Earlier in the transfer window, PSG, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea all dropped out of the race for his signing, while United has maintained he is not for sale.

The Portugal international was said to be interested in leaving the Red Devils in order to play in the UEFA Champions League, as he was reportedly dissatisfied with the club’s dearth of high-profile signings.

However, United and Real Madrid were able to reach an agreement last Friday to sign Casemiro, a move that seemed to surprise the footballing world.

The arrival of the Brazilian, however, coincides with Ronaldo’s decision to stay in United this season, according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Almeida. The striker will therefore rejoin his former Los Blancos teammate in the Premier League.

Ronaldo scored 24 goals in all competitions for United last season but was unable to motivate the team to victory, with Ten Hag looking to pick up the pieces after two defeats in their opening two games of the current season.
