Kylian Mbappe Makes Big Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi Claim

Kylian Mbappe has recently made a shocking claim about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, two of football’s biggest stars of the past ten years, as he moves closer to possibly becoming the best player in the world.

Mbappe, who is only 23 years old, is already recognized as one of the game’s top players.

180 goals have been scored by the striker for Paris Saint-Germain since his debut in the French capital in 2017, nine of which have come in the six games he has played this season.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup champion has now asserted that players like Ronaldo and Messi are nearing the end of their careers as he seeks to get to the pinnacle of world football from an individual standpoint.

For more than ten years, the Portuguese and the Argentines have ruled the beautiful game. Mbappe believes he is now poised to overthrow the two and take their place as the sport’s elite.

The New York Times quoted him as saying, “I think I’m about to win it [the Ballon d’Or].”

“I always say I dream about everything. I have no limits. So of course, like you say, it’s a new generation.

“And Ronaldo, Messi – you’re going to stop. We have to find someone else, someone new.”

If the French forward wins the prestigious award this year, he would be one year older than Messi, who won it when he was only 22, and the same age as Cristiano Ronaldo was when the Manchester United striker won it for the first time.

Mbappe will have tough competition for the Golden Ball this year, though, as players like Sadio Mane and fellow countryman Karim Benzema are also favorites to win the coveted award.
