Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring for the visitors after 13 minutes, tapping home a cross from Renan Lodi.
However, Chelsea turned the game around in the second half as Raheem Sterling scored a quick-fire brace before the hour mark to put Chelsea ahead.
Forest did manage to pull back on level terms after the hour mark, thanks to Awoniyi’s brace.
Aston Villa Beat Tottenham Hotspur (2-1)
Tottenham Hotspur’s dreams of qualifying for the Champions League were crushed after a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Eight minutes in, the home team scored their first goal through Jacob Ramsey, and two minutes later, in the 72nd, Douglas Luiz extended the lead.
In the final seconds, Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot to give Spurs a goal back, but Villa held on to earn all three points.

Crystal Palace moved up to 12th place in the table after defeating Bournemouth 2-0 at Selhurst Park.
Eberechi Eze had the day of his life, scoring a goal in the first or second half to secure maximum points for the Eagles.
